Do brown leghorn hens generally have larger combs and wattles than other species? It's looking awfully roo-ish but I thought I read somewhere that the large comb is a trait of the species. It's tail isn't very large.

I know that white leghorns have a MUCH larger comb/wattles than others, so I assume that brown leghorns have the same trait. Is the comb more pink or red? Can you post pics?

My brown leghorn has a humongous wattle and comb!! And very red in color. Can't post a pic. she is ranging now. But I definitely thought she was a rooster at first...then came the egg...

It's so confusing sometimes
