My rooster was attacked by another (wild abandoned one) and left for dead. Looked for him everywhere but it was the dog who found him next morning. Nursed him back to health, and is now walking around, but is blind. He directs himself by noise, and we put food in a plate, and make noise to tell him where it is. He comes when we call him, so that he doesn't get lost. And he crows proudly at first light.
