I'm new to raising chicks. I bought 13 sexed chickens but I wanted to know how old will thay have to be fore i can make sure I didn't get a rooster?

It depends on the breed. Can you post some more info?

T o be honest I'm not sure of all the breds I just took two of every kind lol. The one that I think might be a roster is a RIR.

Hrm, hopefully someone will pop in. I've looked into this for other breads but not sure about the RIR. I know that if you have others to compare it to RIR are a breed where the pullets typically feather out faster than the cockerels. It's so hard to be sure. They change so much at first they can seem like a boy and end up being a girl and vice versa. From what I've read and been told 6-8 weeks is a good time to more easily see differences for us laymen
