Rooster?

I do agree that there will always be a hen, if not a rooster, that will be the boss. I was just saying that ultimately you have to be the boss above the hen boss.
 
I agree that separating them is a great idea if your other hens are getting picked on during the night. That is a way of showing that you are the head chicken. There is also the question of if they are free range or are they cooped up all together? that information can change all ideas about how to deal with the hen.
 
They are in the coop right now, but the coop is 25 sqft with a 50sqft attached run so I don't think they are getting cooped up. Since I have already seen a fox in my back yard eyeing the chickens they are in the coop while I am at work. I am also dog sitting right now so they get much less time outside than usual.

I did go ahead and seperate her so I will try to reintroduce her in a few days and take it from there.
