12 week old ameraucana --- do you think it's a rooster! I am a newbie. I so appreciate your time !

I do think it's a rooster, he's got a red comb, red in his feathers and he's pretty fancy. He's got green legs, he's not Ameraucana, he's Easter Egger.

I agree probably roo due to the patchiness of his coloring. Hens have an even pattern.

However, EE's feather patterns change a lot as they develop, so continue to watch and wait.

I would also add that at 12 weeks, I would expect more comb developed. Look to see if there are 3 rows or 1 main row. 3 rows generally (by far) equate a roo.

Thanks so much for your replies !!! - I'm not allowed to have Roos where I live and I'm so attached to him already ! This looks like three combs, right ? :(

The color pattern does really look like rooster in this photo, and the comb looks more developed as well in that photo.

I can't tell as to the rows on the comb because I would need a straight on close up shot. But if it has 3 rows, it usually means roo, however some EE pullets have 3 rows as well

From this angle it looks like a pea comb. Pea combs are like a string of peas.

Here's a BYC photo of a pullet https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/701198/ee-pea-comb-boy-or-girl
