Rooster???

Hello I have updated photos of one of my little girls. I am fairly certain that she is a rooster. I have another Barred plymouth Rock that is bigger than this one, so is it possible for a hen of one breed to be bigger than an rooster, or should I assume that they are both Roosters?

That is a boy... It is possible That it could be a girl and larger... I would post a picture to just make sure. But most likely a two boys.

In this photo you have a barred rock rooster front and center and a barred rock hen to the right. Note how he is lighter than she is? She also has black on the front of her feet and legs.

I got two barred rock and two Cuckoo Marans. The darker one is a cuckoo Maran, she has a sister that looks just like her. Both of my Barred Plymouth Rocks look identical as well. that Is why it was so difficult for me to tell if they were roosters. At first I thought that they just had big Combs. Now I think both of the only two barred rocks I have are roosters. Sad face!!!

SERIOUSLY! I have had them backwards this whole time!!!? Well that's embarrassing!

Marans have the white/pale pink legs and BR have yellow with some black wash down them

I have been looking at pictures of both breeds. I think the roosters are Barred Rock. They are lighter in coloring than the two other. The others have more black in their feathers.Some of the pictures of the roos I think are misleading, the legs look lighter than they really are.....Flash on the camera I think. I will send better pics soon. it's been rainy here.

I have an update. I took these two beauties to 1 stop feed store. They have a monthly exchange program for a small fee. They took both roosters. They said they were nice Barred Rock Roosters. And gorgeous. I was proud. I will miss them but I hope they find a nice home. Goodbye ...Regal and Speckle. Good luck!
