I have 2 roosters and 6 hens. Should I keep any roosters? Is it good to have roosters in a backyard flock?

It depends on a lot of things whether one should keep a rooster or not. The size of your backyard, if you have small children, the distance to your neighbors, and your goals for having a rooster.

Personally, if this is your first flock of chickens, I would let both roosters go. Two roosters is too much for 4 hens. They will wear your hens out. They may fight. Some roosters get very aggressive.

As AArt has stated, roosters are where realtiy and romance meet.

I vote cull both of them.
