uhm i'm new. So i'm not sure if i'm posting on the right page thingy. uhm. I'm about to order some more chickens and ducks. I was wondering if male ducks and roosters will fight? (not yet having any males) Also would it help if they grew up together?

A firm 'maybe' on the fighting. In my experience roosters and drakes have gotten along quite well; however, I did have a RIR rooster and a Muscovy drake that sparred daily. The skirmishes were always initiated by the rooster and continued until he would give up and run away. One day I guess the Muscovy had enough because he killed the RIR. In my opinion Red earned what he got.

My roosters are skeered of my drakes. The ducks are definitely more aggressive than the chickens and the hens and roosters both quickly get out of a duck's way.

Ducks can try to mate with a hen, as they have incompatible reproduction parts the drake can injure a hen. Ducks have a penis and insert it, can damage a hen's vent to the point of being a bloody mess.

Drakes and Roos can fight for Alpha, to the point of severe injury or as sourland said one or the other ending up a dead loser.
