'Roosters' chasing kids.

The fear in those poor kids was very real.
The danger of injury was also very real.

I saw a lot of bare legs and territorial roosters. Not to mention all the kids eyes within reach of those chickens.
:hmm

Good example of reasons kids and roosters don't always mix well.

And so easy to prevent.

I did find the 'big scary silkie' to be funny. They're more like a hormonal soccer ball than a chicken.

LoL I was surprised at the aggression of that silkie.

When my two silkie boys I raised from chicks came of age, they did get quite hormonal. :p Peep-Peep once tried to mate with my foot while Scruff once jumped me when I was handling his brother to clip his claws which were getting long.

I first thought that Rooroo, the father's, spurs were filed down or something when I got him, but it seems in mine, the spurs are naturally rounded so even if they were hormonal soccer balls, they wouldn't be too much of a threat with their kicks.
Still, I socialize my birds and have a firm but gentle hand with em', when Peep-Peep mounted my foot, I lifted him up and gave him a small tap on the head. When Scruffbutt jumped me, I just scooped him under my arm and resumed clipping Peep-Peep's claws, with the confused teenager grumbling in my arm.

Now they are just poofs who snuggle me whenever given a chance. I fear I may have softened them up too much however, as the hens boss em' about and are more aggressive than the boys are... :lau But the boys do break up the fights that the hens get into over treats, even if there is more than enough for all, necks flare up and the kickboxing begins with the hens!

Some of the aggression was inspired/fed by the actions of the kids, but all except the ball fighting sebright would be culled if they were mine - the roosters, not the kids.
:lau Why would you spare the sebright rooster? He has a single comb so he wouldn’t be worth breeding or showing
