Roosters comb and body turning purple. Help!

My rooster Bjorn comb has been turning purple, and now his head and body are purple-ish. His keep bone is really pronounced, but his crop is full. Could it be worms? No lice, no canker, no fowl pox, no bad breath, and warmish weather. He's really lethargic.I really need help, he's my favorite roo.

purple comb is usually a sign of heart failure or circulatory problem

I think it may be impacted crop. I think it's too late for him, though. I've been eye dropping water and olive oil down his throat for hours now, and massaging. His comb is now black.

We just performed surgery on him. Definitely crop impaction. He died right before we stitched him up. R.I.P. my beautiful Bjorn, son of Ragnar.

Thank you. I still have his father and mother, so I might try again sometime this year. He had 4 siblings, but I've lost them all to various incidents.
