Rooster's comb

Just wondering if my rooster's comb is growing ok. He is 12 weeks old and I still do not know what breed he is. Is he growing a rose comb? Is this why it looks deformed. LOL

Looks like a modified pea comb. That would mean he's some kind of mix.
