Does this wheeze sound almost like an inhale type sound? Like after he ran out of breath crowing, he had to inhale quickly and made a wheezy type sound? My rooster,Dragon, has a small wheeze sound at the end of his crow. It is cold outside, but he usually stays in the coop
Kind of, but it started after his second crow, or is that normal?Does this wheeze sound almost like an inhale type sound? Like after he ran out of breath crowing, he had to inhale quickly and made a wheezy type sound?
I’ve got 2 roosters that do that. One started doing that right after he learned to crow, and has been doing it for 2 years now. The other boy just started doing it after a month or so of crowing. The vet gave them an A+ during check. So I’m going to say some roosters just do that. But keep a look out for discharge from the nose, or eyes. Look for lethargy, or not eating and such. Is your boy acting like he normally does?Kind of, but it started after his second crow, or is that normal?

That was good!Have you seen smoke coming from his nostrils?
Has he been munching enough sulfurous rocks?
You know you have to provide that in a separate dish, right? They will seek it out as they need it.
I'm betting this is POF. At this age, fire breath is right around the corner for maturing dragons.
