Roosters Crowing

One of my bantam roosters tried to crow this morning. He is just 7 weeks old and I am afraid he is one of 5 that I got this spring from a farm store. I have 1 bantam hen, 2 sliver lace Wyandottes, ! Barred Rock ( had two one had an accident, 2 Australorps, 2 Easter Eggers. All the regular chickens are 6 weeks old and they are hens. Too many roosters for the flock? Now what?

The ratio for hens to roosters is 1 roo for every 7-8 hens. I hope you didn't get atteched to them yet because the only solution i have is to go to freecycle.com and and give away some of the boys you won't have any luck selling them for money because unfortunatly a lot of people don't like the roos .Just a warning: later on you may have some fighting between the boys especially because there aren't enough hens

Happened to me as well! I ended up getting rid of 3 roosters because of my 4 hens!Hope u find some nice homes for your boys!
