Rooster's eye has a white mass

I noticed my rooster's eye has a white mass. We have other roosters and thought he had lost it but it's still there but there is some sort of white mass.

Any ideas what this might be and how to treat?

My rooster has a similar injury. Pretty sure mine got pecked and it injured the 3rd eyelid or something. His eye definitely looked better after a day or so

So it's not an infection? I thought the white stuff was pus.

It might be pus, it's hard to tell from a picture. But mine wasn't pus. I didn't do anything besides just watch him

Should I rinse the eye with diluted Tylan or use an eye ointment?

Looks like tissue inflammation to me as well having seen similar things a couple times. If a pecking injury, it could still be an infection risk. If you can get an antibacterial opthalmic/eye ointment it will help avoid infection and might help the swelling go down too.
