I have 11 hens and two roosters (One EE and one Silkie) I just found my first two eggs today and now it seems like the roosters are trying to keep the hens in the house. (they normally free-range) Is this normal and should I try to keep the roosters out so the hens can lay in peace? Also is it OK to have two roosters with that amount of hens or should I find a home for one of them?

I think with that number, only 1 roo is better. I had two with that number of hens, and they were tormenting them. Took one away, and their was peace in chickenland.

My rooster will go into the coop & walk back & forth in front of the nest boxes when the hens are laying. I think he worries about them!
