I currently have two roosters
At one point had five. One is a four year old Wyandotte the other one Leghorn mix and q year old. The white one is at the bottom of pecking order an had been attacked by the other roosters I had. But a month or so agoo I noticed his nails were bruised purple. Than a week ago I picked him up an ye was missing two nails. Completely gone. Then two days ago I went out and picked him up and another mail had just been tooken off completely and was bleeding. How to stop this? Ive tried to find this sweetboy w new home but no luck. An I'd rather not put him down because my kids love him as do I. My flock does free range. Not as much as I'd like. I also have ten

No it's not. I'm in Maine an it's been very springy for the past couple months. And I had him inside this winter because he had gotten bad frost bitee. and it's not from scratching because I had a hen lose nails but they weren't completely gone. I'll post pics laterr.

Here's his feet

If you'd like to show some pictures of the nail end of the feet that would be good, but to me this looks like loss from frostbite. The toes appear to be healed up and I don't really see anything concerning like swelling or inflammation.

Here's one and he never got frostbite on his only his comb because of tue size. But I kept him inside from Jan to spring in Maine. Beforebringing him back to the flock he was as hhealthy as could be an looked so handsome compard to now.
