I think both are roosters.

The EE looks to have darker red coming in at the shoulders, and more blotchy in appearance.

The Barred almost certain to be a roo with that much comb at 6 weeks.

Sorry. (Unless you wanted roo's, then congratulations)

I agree; both roosters. In addition to the comb, Nugget's light barring also says, rooster.

Thank you. That's kind of what I figured, but wasn't sure as I am a 1st time chicken owner. 2nd question, can you keep 2 roosters living together peacefully? Or will I need to get rid of one? Any info would be appreciated as I said this is my 1st experience. Thanks!

It depends totally on the roosters and the size of the flock.

Many roosters can live harmoniously with each other; many cannot.

More importantly, will 2 roo's overwork your girls with "amorous" duties. You will need to consider if your flock can handle 2 busy boys.

Well I thought I had 9 girls lol, looks like I only have 7 girls now. Is that not enough girls for 2 roosters? I can't believe I ended up with two roosters! :/

That's a bit low ratio for 2 boys, unless 1 rooster becomes very dominant refusing the other access.

Usually with 7 girls, one rooster is more than enough.

X2 on Lady of McCamley. The recommended ratio of roosters to hens is 1 rooster for every 10 hens. As they mature, too many roosters will become very hard physically on your hens; over-breeding them, biting and plucking the feathers from their necks and backs, battering them, and potentially, seriously injuring them. The only reason you really need a rooster is to fertilize eggs for hatching, and 1 rooster can easily handle 10-15 hens in this regard.

Both are definitely males. It may be best if you rehome one of them, because the hens could become overmated and damaged.
