So awhile ago when they were 3ish weeks old I had a thread and asked if they were roosters... My answers were yes they are...

So they are now 13 weeks old... No pointy hackles or saddle feathers.. But they do have curled tail feathers, but so does our Black sex link pullet (at the bottom of the page!). Fluff's (white) comb and wattles are bigger and redder than Easter's (red). Given that Fluff's mom is a White Leghorn, we thought she was a rooster until she started laying eggs! I haven't heard them crow either.

Also would them being fed laying pellets from when they hatched (didn't know they were bad at first!) But them being with their mom and the rest of the flock they probably ate some!

Are you sure they aren't a bit older? They look like girls to me but they shouldn't have such big red combs...

Are there any factor that could cause them to have such red combs at this age?

Yea, Easter is almost the size of our full grown hens, Fluff is half the size of a full grown hen.

Fluff is a White Leghornx Buff Orpington
Easter is a RIR x Buff Orpington
