Roosters or Hens?

Please help me identify the sex these two pullets we just bought.

1. Ancona





2. Light Sussex X Lohman brown

The second one is a pullet no matter what, but the first one.. how old is it? If young (8 -12 weeks) I'm going to say male.

I can't be certain but perhaps #2 is about 4 months old. #1 maybe less. I a, not familiar with Ancona breeds. Are they tall and gangly like this?

the sussex cross is defo a pullet but the ancona is on the edge they do tend to have quite large combs though

We honestly thought that Freckles was a cockerel (long legs, flies over the 6' fence, roosts in trees) but three weeks ago he started laying eggs! Roosevelt layed her first egg yesterday.
