I have 3 roosters that are all 18 weeks and I have 10 hens, 3 at 18 weeks and 7 at 15 weeks. My roosters are all Top Hat Specials 2 of them being polish chickens and one of my hens is also a polish chicken and she is the smallest of all of them. But all 3 of my roosters pick on her all the time if it’s not one it’s the other chasing her and pecking at her she’s terrified. I go sit in their run a lot to help protect her so she can enjoy the outside without them getting her and when she hears my voice she comes running out and stays by me the whole time but even when I leave for a minute she’s screaming and one of them is going after her. I feel so bad I don’t know if I should separate the roosters or just her or will it ever stop? I can only just imagine what happens when I’m not out there at all. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Also this has been going on for about 2-3 weeks and it was just one rooster then 2 and now all 3 of them are doing it. And is it because she looks so different than the other hens with her fluffy mop top?

Too many roosters and not enough girls unfortunately. I had this same problem also. My hubby made 2 small temporary chicken tractors (4ftx4ft, 2 ft high), 1 for each roo, and we left 1 roo with the girls. He finally calmed down after 2.5 days and isn't picking on them so much anymore. He is now working on a rolling rooster condo to house the boys. LoL Good luck with your flock.

Your cockerels are all hormonal trying to mate while your pullets still need some more weeks /months to mature and appreciate the attention.

Separate the cockerels until the pullets begin to lay. If you leave them with the girls they will harrass and chase them all the time which might even lead to malnourishment and to susceptability to illness due to lack of rest and proper food intake.

In any case 3 young cockerels will be way too much for only 10 pullets. One will be more than enough.

Separate the males. If you can't part with any then keep them separated. Otherwise rehome 2 or even all 3 of them,

Thank you everyone for your suggestions I’m definitely getting rid two of the three roosters and we’ll see how that goes hopefully it will all calm back down. But I love being apart of this blog and knowing that there’s so many of you that love your chickens as much as I love mine! ❤️🐓
