I had a drake I butchered with a similar looking liver. I asked on here and no one had seen it before. I sent a picture to an avian vet, who also shared it with another avian vet, and neither of them had seen it before. They (and another vet, though not avian) advised me not to eat the meat. They said there are certain things that can't be killed by freezing or cooking. I tossed it. Hated to be wasteful but didn't want to chance my health. In the process of managing my flock, i.e. culling a 6 month old cockerel - I saw the fellow had an abnormal liver. Prior to culling, the bird displayed no symptoms in actions or apperance of being ill. The skin, bones, flesh, and organs appeared normal, the liver not so much. The carcus is beautiful, it cleaned up nicely. Your thoughts?
