One of my girls just hatched a couple chicks, I have a divider up in the coop for now.my flock is free range. If I let them free, will my two roosters help watch out for the chicks or try to kill them or neither? I assume the mom will offer some protection but should I just keep them cooped up for a while? Momma hen has already been in there over three weeks.

My broodies and their chicks go out with their flock at seven to ten days of age, depending on the status of the broody hen. If she's low in the flock, later, and if she's one of the upper level hens, sooner. None of my roosters have ever been a problem with broody raised chicks, or with brooder chicks who are five or six weeks old.
