Roosters?

    I bought these in late May as chicks so they're about 13-14 weeks old. Although they were sold as a straight run, the breeder thought they were sex links. Maybe she got the sex link backwards? Thank you for your advice.

    Black sexlink bred to black sexlink will produce chicks that look like your birds. But as you can probably guess, the sexlinking only works for the first generation birds. Those are all males.

    they all look like roosters to me

    Agree they're all males. They could be second generation black sex links, or they could be random mixed breeds. Sorry.

    Thank you very much! This was very helpful. I'm still learning about the sex link process but, in the last week or so, started suspecting that these were roosters.
