I have 2 coops. I recently decided to add a rooster to each coop to have some hatching eggs this spring.
My girls are molting, so I am getting very few eggs right now.

My question is one roo is doing a good job with the hens.
The other is not even crowing. Will he catch on, or is he intimidated by the other rooster.
They are not in the same coop, but can see each other. They are the same age, were hatched together, and
until I put them in with the hens, they were in a bachlor coop together.

he might be a little slower in growth and is not ready yet or maybe he feels for the girls and it waiting till a better time.
either way he will start to do his job. If he was 2 nd rooster it may take him a little time to relize that he will not be put into his place and that he is top rooster now.

Thanks. I really want to hatch the chicks from him, more than the other rooster.

that is normally the way it is.
they seem to always keep you waiting.
best of luck and i hope he figures it out before you loose your mind.
