Roosting already?

I have an OLD chicken coop that we have cleaned up and repurposed....
Anyway...my broilers AND little laying hens have already started roosting on it! I was shocked to find them up there because it's not that low to the ground and some of them were on the 3rd rung!

My babies were roosting on a perch in the brooder at 1 week old......they just know what they want I guess!

My babies roosted as soon as I offered a spot to them at around 1 wk or so, they were scared of it at first

. Some just prefer to sleep on the ground
