Roosting area

I'm designing my coop and was wondering how high up I should put the roosting bars. I was so thinking of doing more of a ladder than just a roosting bar or both. My coop is going to be 5' tall in the back and 6' in the front. Also how high to I put the nesting boxes?

Mine is 30". You need to take the amount of room they have to flap their way down into account, too, so they won't land so hard, especially for large fowl. The nests only have to be lower than the roost.
