Roosting bar design questions

If the mock up is to scale, they will want to roost on the skinny board because it is higher.

You might consider attaching the roosts a little lower... maybe 2 1/2' or 3' high. Then they won't need the ramp unless they are silkies, frizzles, or a massive breed. And they would still fit under the roosts.

Edit to add. I forgot about the nests. If you want them raised too, so you don't have to lean down to collect the eggs, then the roosts do need to be as high as you put them.
I wanted to keep the roosts up in the roof area. The other side will have walls that can lay down for bad weather or prop up for extra shade. Good point about the nests though.

Here’s what I ended up going with. One bar accessible from the ground and 2 different heights accessible from the ramp. I put the “skinny” one at an even lower height. Anything I should address?

Do you mind if the roof leaks? I probably wouldn't in that style of coop in your climate but the panels are designed to have the ribs run ridge to eave.
I’m not super worried about it. The top piece is folded over at the crown and then overlaps the ones below it. It might drip at the seams between 2 adjacent sheets but if it's too bad I'll run a little caulk along it. There's quite a bit of overlap between sheets. Plus all the roosts are under single sheets with no vertical seam.
