We are new to chickens. Have 8 Rhode Island red pullets. 12 weeks old. growing well, outside and active all day. Eating well. When we put them in at night they huddle all together in a corner instead of going to their roost. In the morning they are all on the roost. Is this unusual? We appreciate any feedback.

Normal - takes most chicks a while to learn to roost at night. Some learn faster than others. You can try putting them up there at night, although it sounds as if yours are starting to figure things out on their own
