Tonight we found the girls roosting, well, not in their coop. They found a spot in their free ranger area near our front door. Four on our ivy-covered concrete fence, and one our garden retaining wall. We scooped them up and put them in their coop but we were really befuddled as to why they didn't go to their roost when it got dark, like they normally do. Could it be that they don't like their coop/roost anymore? Do they think their coop/roost is unsafe? Are the concrete walls more comfortable? Did they have too much fun dust bathing that night snuck up on them? Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, this morning two of our girls were way out in the neighbor's yard. Somehow they got out of their coop and their pen and was having a Roman holiday over there. (I'll be working on fixing their coop this weekend)
Any clues as to their weird behavior?
