Roosting Ladder Queston

I wanted a droppings board instead of the droppings pit, so my husband built one yesterdsay. We had a pre-fab coop, so he had to move the roosts up a bit, which makes them a little high for the girlz to climb up on, so he built a ladder. However, the ladder falls. Can someone suggest a good way to modify it so that it will stay in place? Thanks!

if the piece it is propped on is wood. Use a hinge to anchor them together.

Your girls look big enough to jump up there. I built ladders and my girls don't use them to walk up but do sit on them.

You could nail/screw/hinge it to the board or the roost itself. Nice chickens!

Any way to keep it in place for the moment but not make it a permanant fixture? I'm thinking something like a bunkbed ladder...??????

I use the hinges and pull the pin when not needed.
