I hope this is not a "stoopid" question but I have a 4 feet long perch that came to me in a used parrot cage about 2 years ago. I don't know the history of the cage, if the bird died or what but is it "safe" to use this as a roost for my 8 week olds? I mean could the chickies catch anything if the parrot died from an illness?
