Roosting order

True that layer poop is not the cute little pullet poops...
....tiny poops do not necessarily indicate egg binding.
That is true...could be quite a few things (tiny poops) That was just my most current catch for one of mine...what goes in is important and what comes out just as important.

Mine move away to a more touch-free spot when they're molting. And some like it cool and some like it warm so these move from season to season to find their thermal utopia.

My observation is that roosting spots change often in younger birds. My older hens have laid claim to certain spots, those never change.
The lead hen's spot can only be taken by the rooster, no exceptions.
The rooster can and does sleep where he pleases.
The younger birds roost where they are least likely to be pecked, here there is an entire "kids" roost.
This order may change though if the younger ones rise in rank or the older ones fall.
The only poop I can for certain match to the bird that made it is the rooster, his poop is microscopic compared to the hen poop. :)
