Roosting Unrest

I have ten hens that all roost in the same coop at night. All of the hens want to be on the highest roosting bars possible. We have modified the original coop design to have more bars at the top of the coop. There is plenty of room for all hens to roost peacefully, yet this is not happening. Our hens are pecking each other to the point of drawing blood from each other. This is happening every night and some hens are reluctant to enter the coop because of it. Is there something we should be changing in our coop to prevent this? I am frustrated with how to handle this situation.

At roosting time, when the birds are docile, pick them up and move them to the new roosts until they learn to roost there independently. Habits are hard to break!

Can you please post a picture of the interior of your coop? That will yield the best suggestions.
Here are some photos. The quality is not the best, but they are all on two bars at the top. There are three other bars that are below them.
