Roosting

Should I put my chickens up on the roost at night if they are not doing it themselves. They are 20 weeks old but still huddle together in the coop

it would be worth a try. I have found that they do eventually roost on their own... some are just slower then other and others are faster at it.

I have some New Hampshire Reds that are 16 weeks old. They still huddle on the floor or the ramp to sleep. The other chickens (1 year +) roost.

At least they come inside to sleep now.
