Roosting

I have new chickens 7 weeks old have raised from day old. how long before they will use the roost of a night. They use the roost in the day but still huddle together on the ground of a night. Only new at this so bare with me. Thanks

At 7 weeks mine were roosting at night. Is it cold? Just wondering if they're trying to keep eachother warm.

No not cold here now. Cold here is only 15 celcius about 19-20 C of a night now. and 29-30 C in the day.
