Yep, I use PDZ as well, so I need sides. PDZ helps keep the ammonia smell away and keeps the poop from sticking to the board.
Ditto Dat^^^It also helps keep the poop from sticking to the vinyl, that I have covering my board. Runny poop is also easier to clean up, PDZ absorbs the moisture. I wouldn't want to clean a runny one off my board, without PDZ.I scoop my board every day also.
Mine are removable roosts for easier cleaning and they are only 3½" from the poop board (saves any eggs that are laid through the night.)My question is, How far above the board does my roost need to be?
