Roosts and Windows

Hey y’all, how far down should roosts be from windows? And about how long should i make the roost if i have 5 chickens?

I am by far NOT an expert, but from what I've read (on here mostly)... most people suggest ventilation at least 12 inches above roost, and 12 inches roost bar space per fluffbutt

This is what i needed! I didn’t know if i needed to make it like eye level or whole body with the chickens or what

I think the ventilation is suppose to be at least 12 inches above to keep the chickie's combs and wattles safe from frostbite.

I know open ventilation yes, but windows i’m not sure, that’s what i’m stuck on.

Ooooh. If the windows are just for light, I'm almost positive you can put them anywhere. One of my neighbors has a couple of windows like 6 inches below her roost bars. Editing to say... I hope one of the chicken geniuses comes along with better answers for you than myself!

I was hoping eye level so fluffies can look out!

I really don't see why this would be a problem if you're not using it for ventilation purposes!
