Hmmmm. I don’t know!When you say they stink like urine, did they get peed on by wild animals before you moved them into your chicken area, so they smell like that pee? Or do you just mean that they smell like chicken poop/urates?
I sprinkle the 2x4s while sitting through the PDZ in the morning...keeps the poo from sticking to the roosts and absorbs the moisture. I can see where this editor be difficult with natural branches. It's out possible to split them so there is a flat side?Maybe instead of branches, try 2x4's for the roosts.
