How much head room do chickens need when on a roost?
I am putting together a 4x6 version of this:

The original designer has the roost going lengthwise down the middle. At the height of the top of the nest boxes.
I was thinking of offsetting it 6" to provide more space on one side for food/water. Fortunately I bought the kit, which allows me to make some mods as needed.
With the roof designed like you see here, would that be enough head room for the birds? What would you all do?
