So my 2 rooters are only "courting" 3 out of my 10 hens.... Do they tend to pick favorits or is the hens more fertile? I feel bad for those 3, they can barely leave the roost without getting attacked!

They definitely tend to have favorites, although chances are they are mating all the hens when you're not looking. Two is often one too many for only 10 hens.

If you want to know whether eggs are fertile, check them when you crack them for cooking:

We are planning on eating one of them
I would love to know if they are fertile but they aren't laying
