Rose comb rooster breed?

Any thoughts on the breed here? He came to us from Tractor Supply, so should be a specific breed rather than a mix. Seems to have a rose comb. He is about 14 weeks old now. As a chick his "fluff" was light yellow with light brown streaks down the back. As the fluff came out he turned white/black, then as the rooster feathering is coming in there is more brown. Thanks!

Either a mutt or a very poorly bred silver laced Wyandotte.

Thank you! SLW is what I thought but when I started seeing the brown I was confused. Also was confused because when I looked at pics of SLW as new chicks they are all much different color than he was. Makes sense that is just poor breeding I suppose?

I agree. If purchased from TSC technically "pure," but often of poor, hatchery quality

Silver Laced Wyandotte. I've seen some poorly marked hatchery Wyandottes but this is a new best.
