I love looking at everyones beautiful roses, dont know if anyone wants any of these, but I would be willing to send, I would recommend Mary Rose....also the huge majenta David Austen, forget the name....:)my neighbor has a striped climber like the one in another post, its Gorgeous, I will ask her the name, prob the same.

That's going to be one pretty rose bush when it gets in full bloom. My roses this year are fantastic. I have two Peace rose bushes and they are loaded with blooms. Only 10 more days and then "NC here we come". I'm so looking forward to seeing my family. I only see them about every two years and the grandchildren grow up so fast.

Help! My roses have been eaten by aphids, attacked by rust and mildew. I have sprayed but more always appear. Any information?

Ive used soapy water in a spray bottle for the aphids, dont have the other problems, but I think captan powder can be used for mildewy things...GardenWeb.com has a lot of non toxic remedies.

I have Confederate Roses, and they are not a true rose. They are easily rooted and grow FAST and BIG. They are gorgeous and can be grown virtually anywhere. In the fall we cut them back to the ground and cover what's left with pine needles. Toss the the cutting in a 5 gallon bucket of water and then the next Spring you will have 5 foot tall cuttings.

How lovely. I'd love to have one but I doubt if they would grow here. It is so hot in the summer. Our winters are cold but it's cold where you are. We also get these hot dry winds. Regular roses do well here so maybe they would do alright. Thanks for sharing the picture.

My FAVORITE source for roses is HeirloomRoses. Check them out on the web. They are just a few miles from my house and are own root roses, even their english( no grafting) roses. Also virus free. They may look small to start with but they take off. They are all I ever buy and I don;t have a big budget..
I would suggest "Climbing" Gold Badge, Graham Thomas is a repeat bloomer and lovely. I love the english roses and I aslo have some of the old,old ones. Everyone of them is fragrant!! I am in heaven!
I have 15 roses in the front and fifteen in the back. A number of them are climbing so I can grow more flowers in the yard around the bottom of them and thru them. I am rose obsessed for sure
