A white Plymouth Rock is like a barred rock, but white. Yours looks too slender to be a Plymouth Rock judging by the pic. My white rock is about 18ish weeks and heavier than my adult red sexlink hens. There can be a lot of variation in hatchery birds, since they often don't control their own breeding, and the first pullet is also older than the second. The "bottom comb," or the wattles, develop on the pullets when they are coming close to laying. You'll probably see them on the younger leghorn in a couple weeks!was sold as a sex link from TSC...I assumed golden sex link...
I bought a leghorn from TSC about 2 weeks later, also from TSC...
both have the same top comb but the one pictured has a noticeable bottom combs as well.
they both have pretty much identical shaped/sized bodies & color...however the "sex-link: one stands more upright than all my other hens...and has a vertical tail...It is definitely a different breed than the one that was sold as a Leghorn...but TSC ain't the best for quality control of their chicks...
I really don't care but I do want to know what breeds I have...
what's a white rock?
