Roster or Hen?

3 boys is 3 boys too many for 6 girls. The average rooster needs about 8 to 10 hens. To make sure there are plenty of girls to go around, you'll need at least 20 to 30 hens. You don't have that kind of space. I suggest getting rid of all the boys for now. Even one cockerel is too many for only 6 girls.

My goal was to have at least 10 Hens. I have 12 nesting boxes right now and they free range our 4 acre property. The Roosters pretty much get along ( mainly because of the space we have) though I'd like to narrow it down to one rooster.

Well, if you want a roos that will be gentler on the hens (especially since u now have 4) I recommend Caponizing or De-spurring them when they get old enough. That many roos can seriously injure the hens though. If you don't like those two methods, ( I don't happen to be fond of them myself) I say find another home.. Or, eat them once they come of age
