I’ve got an egg pipping on the bottom side, against the floor of the incubator. Should I rotate this one so it’s facing up?

if it is pipping against the floor.. yes, you need to rotate it or it will probably die.

Unfortunately, pipping at the wrong end is VERY difficult and they sometimes die anyway.

As to humidity loss, get a paper towel and put it in a coffee cup of super hot water... open incubator, rotate egg, take out very hot dripping wet paper towel, pop into incubator, close lid.

That will almost immediately put the humidity back up.

Just facing downward! At the correct end of the egg. I went ahead and moved it and am glad I did— I checked some of the other eggs I thought hadn’t started pipping, only to discover they had been pipping directly to the floor. I turned the rotation off a few days ago, but perhaps not soon enough. I hope they make it!

if they are pipping at the correct end, then they should all be just fine.

Don't panic too much. :hugs

Sounds like things are coming along well if you have pips in other eggs too :highfive:

I have often headed off to bed expecting certain ones to be hatched in the morning only to find totally different ones out that I’ve not even noticed a pip on!
