Rotator Cuff Surgery

It seems I will be needing rotator cuff surgery, on my left shoulder ( I am right handed). Has anybody here, had rotator cuff surgery while being the main tender for your flock? Doctor says it will be mildly invasive & will have my arm in a sling for about 3-6 weeks. Wanting to see if anybody been thru this, having chickens. I will be the sole care taker of my flock, might get a pet sitter to come for the first week, and after that I would plan to take over.

Not the same at all, but I had my dominant hand in a cast a few years ago and could be use it for bird care. I could do everything I needed to, but it just took way longer. Getting even a bit of help with heavier things wouldn't be a bad idea
