I've got a rotten egg or eggs in my bator I'm gonna try and smell em each this evening and weed out the problems ones- will I be able to tell a good one from a bad one?? or will the overall rotten smell be on all them??? Thanks, Keystonepaul

The smell is *usually* more prominent on the actual rotten one, but just to be safe, I would candle them-that usually helps you detect which one is bad. I know with my turkey eggs I (tried to) hatched, I had several rotten ones-more then I had with my chicks...anyways, I just remember being really nervous, and careful, as I was candling

I had a rotten egg. I had to smell all of them very careful. It's a bad smell.

You will be able to tell. I put it outside in the garbage. Thank God it didn't blow.
