We've been keeping chickens for about 3 years and this is the first time I have tasted an egg that seemed rotten. I think I know why but wanted to see if I could get confirmation from you folks. We have a broody hen that won't get off the nest box. If she sits on the eggs for 3 days in 85 to 90 degree weather is that enough to give the eggs a rotten taste? I know the eggs I just ate were no older than 3 days.
