We have 10 chickens and 1 guinea fowl. I know the age of 3 of the chickens (2 years and 1 1/2 years). I do not know the age of the rest but do know they have gone through at least 1 molt.
The problem is that one of them is laying eggs that are bad after 2 or 3 days. They either start leaking and smelling really gross or when I break one open the insides are black and the kitchen smells horrendous. What could be happening? I don't have a rooster so they aren't fertilized.
They have been laying less eggs (used to get 11 eggs day, now may get 4-6 eggs) and one has been losing feathers. We have had hot weather and then cooling off and severe storms. Not sure what all is going on with them. We have only had chickens for 2 years now. Please help.
