which do you think is more docile, a cayuga, rouen or a blue swedish

My experience with Rouens isn't the best. I had a girl who laid like CRAZY and her eggs were amazingly delicious, but man was she a moody weirdo. She hissed, huffed, and made roaring quacks at you all the time. She never bit or attacked, but would act "all that" all the time. She was NOISY too.

I hear Cayugas are nice and quiet. I know my Indian Runners were really quiet.

I have two adult Cayuga females and they are both very docile. I have 2 Blue Swedish males and they're both docile as well. But the Swedes are only babies.

I don't know anything about Rouens.

I think any of the three will make fine pets if you handle them regularly as ducklings and bribe them with food. I personally have a pair of rouens and a black swedish and one mix between the two, and all four of them are very sweet and make great pets.

My mix is imprinted to me, so he's about as tame as you can get. Choose which one you want based off which you like the best, and I'm sure you'll be able to tame them if you raise them around people a lot. I've heard cayugas aren't as docile, but I can't back that up at all, never having owned one (although I think they're gorgeous). Good luck!
